Earlier today, the singer stopped by the Wendy Williams Show to talk about his recent stint on The Biggest Loser, which resulted in him dropping from 462 lbs. to 358 lbs. As he sat down in his new suit, he told Wendy:
[I have to] get rid of clothes. It’s kind of different going home and none of the clothes you are used to wearing fit, but it’s great because I love to shop.
He also explained to her the reason he refused to get surgery to drop the pounds:
I was raised to believe that I can do anything. That I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me and I stand firm on that belief. I feel like taking the easy route out is not something I should do. I should make sure I take responsibility for my health, and get in the gym and work it out.
I most certainly [have a goal weight.] I want to be at my physical best by my next birthday which is September 12, 2014. I’ve never seen that. I played football in high school and college, so I’ve been in shape but I’ve never seen my body at its best.
As far as his nutrition plan, he did reveal that he counts calories and has replaced pork with turkey. He also shared some tea on his fitness regimen:
The one thing I have to make myself do every day is get my big butt out of the bed and go to the gym. Every day, six days a week. I don’t work out on Sunday.
When I’m home, I have a trainer. When I’m on the road I get up and do an hour and a half of cardio and 30 minutes of free weights.
I ran a 5k a couple of weekends ago.
He’s looking good and healthy!
