Soooooo, I just attended Toy Syndrome’s collection preview, “Alien Paradise” at Patricia Fields store. Toy embroidery definitely plays a huge part in this collection. According to the designer, Natalya Nyn, she came up with this collection with the mind set of what Aliens would wear to go on vacation. I must say these Aliens know how to have fun.
Here’s a little history about Toy Syndrome. Natalya first called her brand, Earl Grey Tea because she used to design tea dyed shirts. However, her toy shirts sold the most and was in great demands, so she later renamed her company Toy Syndrome. Toy Syndrome has been worn on Girls by Lena Dunham and Tavi Gavinson and featured on Refinery29, Fashionista and Nylon Magazine. This company has drastically grown and is now being sold oversea in Dubai.
Someone who is into high fashion with a huge fun twist, you can be sure to find that look at Toy Syndrome. With Patricia Fields being the first person to showcase her brand, you will be able to find majority of the collection at the store on Bowery St. You can also find Toy Syndrome at www.ToySyndrome.com or follow them on instagram @ToySyndrome, where Natalya interacts greatly with all of her followers.
