The Keeping up with the Kardashians gals are letting Blac Chyna know that she needs to stop trying to make Angela Kardashian a thing — because it is never going to happen!
In May, Blac Chyna, 29, filed a request with the United States Patent & Trademark office to register her new name “Angela Kardashian” in order to make a profit from her future’ husband’s name.
But Kim, 36, Kourtney, 37, and KhloeKardashian, 32, filed an opposition on Dec. 7 that will block the former stripper turned Rob & Chyna reality star from being granted access to using their name to make a buck — and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the conniving sisters are livid!
[DailyNews] The Kardashians’ opposition to their future sister-in-law using their last name for profit came as quite a surprise to Blac Chyna’s lawyer.
Attorney Walter Mosley admits he was “shocked” by Kim, Kourtney and Khloe’s legal filing to block Chyna from trademarking the name Angela Renee Kardashian — but he’s not too worried about the outcome.
“The Kardashians, like Angela and my other clients are very protective of our marks, I think for us this is going to be clear case win, because it’s actually her name, it’s not a poaching,” Mosley told People.
“I would hope that this is just a junior lawyer’s error, who’s just responding to everything and not really looking at who it’s from or why it was filed,” he continued. “There’s a softer side of this where Angela has to have a conversation with her family. But until I hear otherwise, I’m just going to proceed as I normally would with a lawsuit.”
Chyna — born Angela Renee White — is engaged to the famous trio’s brother Rob Kardashian and gave birth last month to their first child together, daughter Dream.
The reality star, who filed for the trademark in May, got off to a rocky start with the Kardashian family but had appeared to be on better terms with her fiancé’s sisters now. But that doesn’t mean they’re ready to let her cash in on their globally-recognized surname.
“The applicant is deliberately seeking to profit from the goodwill and popularity of opposers’ Kardashian marks,” reads the Kardashians’ notice of opposition.
“(The trademark) is likely to cause confusion, or to cause mistake, or to deceive consumers,” it continued, expressing concern that the Kardashian sisters would have “no control” over how Chyna uses the name.
Chyna, 28, and Rob have not set a date for their wedding, which many expect to be televised in return for a major payday.
The “Rob & Blac” star was thrust into real-life drama earlier this year at the onset of her relationship with Kardashian. Her former fiancé — and the father of her first child — Tyga is currently dating Kim, Khloe and Kourtney’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner.
She’s since shared photos with the famed TV personalities and even appeared in a recent mannequin challenge video filmed inside the delivery with her fiancé’s mother, Kris Jenner.
