This week must be breakup-week. Fist we had Blac Chyna and Rob, now Fifth Harmony.
According to Mirror, Fifth Harmony has just become Fourth Harmony.
The girl band, who are behind the worldwide smash hit Work From Home, have lost a member.
Camila Cabello, who has been steadily releasing solo projects on the side, has decided to quit the group for good.
The band announced the news in a statement, revealing that Camila didn’t tell them the news herself.
In a message posted on social media and signed by “Ally, Normani, Dinah and Lauren,” the group writes,“After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.”
The band continued, insisting that they will continue as a foursome.
“You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you’ve supported us, and with your love and support, we will continue on.
“That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us- Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans,” they added.
While the four remaining members are known to share a close bond, there had always been rumors of a rift between them and Camila.
But insiders suggest that tensions between Cabello and the other group members had long been festering. In fact, December 18, the day the split was announced, marked the conclusion of Cabello’s contractual obligations to the group and offered an exit, says a source.
The news comes as Lauren was reportedly busted for marijuana possession by police at Washington International Dulles Airport on Wednesday night as they headed to Brazil.
Law enforcement stopped Lauren at a checkpoint and forced her to submit to a secondary search, claimed TMZ.
According to reports, a bag of what “appeared to be marijuana” was then found in her carry-on luggage.
